Heirloom Quality Handwoven Rugs Blackberry Hills is proud to introduce our heirloom quality handwoven rugs. When we moved to the country to live on a farm we both had many interests. We have watched our dream of quality fibers and yarns grow to a reality. Handwoven items have always had a special quality that the craftsperson is able to put into their product. We are proud to introduce our rugs and hope you will feel they are special too. Our rugs are woven on looms right in our home. We have a Harrisville 60" rug loom designed with Peter Collingwood. This is Jerry's loom and you can see the fabulous twills and block weaves he is creating. He is also doing shaft switching, a technique that Peter Collingwood improved on with his shaft switching devise. This allows the weaver to design and weave with much more ease than before. Talk to Jerry about a rug for your favorite spot in the house. Loretta's loom is a Glimakra Standard 54" counterbalance loom. She likes to weave tabby weave with stripes in the tradition of the Mexican striped rugs. The patterns are endless. Most of the fun is picking your colors for the rug you always wanted to spice up your home. Rugs make great gifts. We will make a color card and list of ideas for the recipient of your gift. They pick the colors and pattern for their rug. What could be better for the recipient-- a gift you pick out yourself. How easy this is for the gift giver; you don't have to try to pick out someone else's colors and patterns. These gifts don't get returned to the store. Because we hand make each rug to your specifications you can expect up to 6 months for delivery of your rug. We will take a $50.00 down payment at time of order for your rug and will contact you when it is finished with the shipping charges. If your rug is a gift we will contact the person who ordered it for balance owed and verification of the address. Our Rugs are woven with an 8/5 wet spun linen warp. This provides the durability needed for your rug to stand up to home use. We use high quality wool yarns and will soon have hand dyed mohair blend rugs available. Endless designs are possible -it is only limited by our/your imaginations. Thanks you for looking at our rugs. We hope your enjoy them as much as we do. Jerry and Loretta Pedersen
